Rosemary Lonewolf Contact The Artist
Santa Clara Pueblo

Rosemary Apple Blossom Lonewolf, is an award winning artist from Santa Clara Pueblo, NM with over thirty years of experience. Creating her native clay pots using the sgraffto (etched) method, Ms Lonewolf blends traditional techniques while incorporating her unique iconography of personal and contemporary designs.

Ms. Lonewolf recently expanded her professional growth with a series of relief tiles and large scale mural installations produced from an architectural clay body developed through her own research.

Of her work Lonewolf states,"I am not, nor are my pieces, frozen in time. I am a contemporary Tewa Indian woman facing complex issues in a rapidly changing world. Sometimes these issues present conflicts to 'traditional' Pueblo life. Often they are simply challenges any modern woman faces. These issues are explored and illustrated in the subject matter of my artwork."
